Re: I'm home bored and cold.

The dreary, cold weather makes many people feel bored and lethargic, myself included. I find that listening to my favorite upbeat music is mood-lifting.

We got 3" of snow last night, but this rain and wind has it about knocked down.

My dh is in town too about 50 miles from home,I hope he is not in the path of the storm.

Times like this I think a cell phone would be nice to own.

@spud188, I thought EVERYbody had a cell phone these days! When he was 83, my dad announced to me that he was driving to California to see his girlfriend (from the Midwest). I shook my head and told him the only way I would support that was if he got a cell phone. Which he did. And guess what? His car broke down in Reno and he used the phone. I am considered a phone-a-phobic, but being single, it affords me a sense of security than few things can. I hope you consider adding one to your household.

@spud188  If you are not interested in a full-blown smart phone (or even if you are), Consumer Cellular is a good place to start.  I have no need for a smart phone, but I have a pretty basic cell phone that I only use in cases like @MaggieMack's dad did -- to call for car assistance.  https://www.consumercellular.com/

I only pay about $10 a month for this basic service and my phone stays charged for months.    The money is well-spent for what I need.

You can't convince the cats to snuggle with you?  Oh, well.  I know how cats are!

It sounds as if the power is back, so that's something.  (Unless I misread your post.)  In any event, I hope you get a lot of replies so you can keep busy reading.

I love Supernatural.  I just discovered it a few months ago and am watching all the seasons in order, on DVD.

Oh my gosh, that is going to take forever there are so many seasons of Supernatural. LOL

I'm in Ohio, and the cold hasn't arrived here yet (it's over 60 degrees).  I know it's on it's way, due to arrive by this weekend.  We're possibly going to get our first snow (lake effect)......eeeeeek!  I hate the cold (I'm talking anything below 70 degrees here).  I'm savoring these last couple days of warmth!

P.S.   I do have a cat who occasionally likes to cuddle (he's only 6-1/2 months), and his little body is as warm as a toaster oven!!!

Ha.  I'm in Ohio too and if you think anything below 70 is cold, you are living in the wrong state.  LOL  J/K

Re: I'm home bored and cold.

I hope my UPS deliveries aren't too delayed from the power outage they had where the local main hub is. I looked it up and it was all over town which had to mess up the street lights. My stuff is out for delivery last I heard.

My kitties need their canned food that is coming today. I have enough for 2 more days I think so I don't think I'd have to go to the store.

Cold weather is heading here. I cut the grass today, (hopefully that's it for the year!). I just got my new sock loom-so when the cold hits, I'll make soup, have a cup of tea, and start swearing at my new loom! Lol!

Cold and rainy in Indiana too - I look forward to these days - baking, cuddling with my doggies, or having lunch with a good friend.  Looks like another day of wet weather tommorrow.
