Good for you! Nursing is a great career path, and so many people are going back to school in adulthood to launch new careers or boost their earning power. I went back to school in my early 50's to update my skills and abilities and spent several interesting years as a medical assistant in a specialty practice. I loved the school experience and enjoyed relating to younger classmates and the many older, nontraditional students I found there.
Best of luck to you!

Best wishes to you.
Yes, and I'll wager I'm a lot older than bikerbabe. I graduated last spring at age 53, nailed the boards in August, and started my new career a week before my 54th birthday.
When I went off to college at 17, one of my roommates was majoring in Nursing. I clearly remember thinking that this was one profession I'd never be interested in.
Life is strange.
My very, very best to you, bikerbabe! You're in for one big adventure!

but starting next week I'm going back to school to become an RN.
I have a couple of pre-requisites to complete first before enrolling in nursing school but most of the requirements are already covered within my previous college degrees.
