The 4th was a very nice day for DH and I.  We are both old and not in the best of health either, so we can't do too much in the way of exciting!  However, I was just glad to have a day off from work to get to spend with him!! 

The day was terribly hot though --- that was my only complaint!  But at least it didn't rain!

Little things make us happy -- we had chip'n dip, a cold beverage, grilled some kabobs, and even marshmellows.  Then, we had our own little firework display!  

After that, we were both so hot, so we went in and got cooled off and watched a couple of movies and had some ice cream.

For me, it was a perfect day and I was not bored at all!  I was sad for it to end.

I is so hot and humid here that I didn't go to any parades of cook-outs this year....

Stayed in the air conditioning and worked on my Granddaughter Tinkerbell costume

The only difference at my house is that the husband is not working at the office today, so he's outside doing yard stuff.   Better him than me!     I don't do physical labor or yard stuff.  Besides, I cannot tolerate the heat at all anymore.  Anything from 60 up and I start to fall out after about a minute outside.  I went out once to see him and, in very short order, I thought I was going to throw up.  Pretty lame, eh?   And it's not even that hot yet, since it was just after noon -70s I guess, but that's way too hot for me.

I'm just doing paperwork, watching tv, and playing around on the computer.  Got the place vacuumed and some kitchen stuff done.  I think that's about it for me.
