After being without electricity for a little more than 36 hours, I finally have power again.

I didn't loose any food.

It was amazing to see just how dark it would get outside when there wasn't any street lights to illuminate the streets.

On the plus side, without all of the light pollution from the street lights, you could see a gazillion more stars than you would when the street lights are on.

All-in-all, it wasn't too bad of an experience.

Now life can return to "normal" (whatever that is).

Welcome back! I am glad your inconvenience was minor and that you are up and running. Unfortunately, some others were not as fortunate.  My heart bleeds for the state of California right now. My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone adversely affected.
