Re: I love fall and everything, but....

At one time in my 20's . . . I had big plans of moving to Alaska. Making big bucks in the oil & gas boom. What was I thinking? I'd survive maybe a week at most. I don't like frigid, freezing, cold, snow & ice.

Re: I love fall and everything, but....

We hit 80 just before 4 pm and are forecast to be in the mid to upper 70s again tomorrow. We should be in the mid 60s for highs. At least the nights are still cool, although well above normal then too.

Thankfully we start returning to fall temperatures midweek and will be well below normal by the weekend.

Eightys today, rain tomorrow, cold by the weekend. Love Spring and Fall, but don't care for hot Summer and cold Winter. Thank goodness I'm in the South because it's not the mess that some get. BAH HUMBUG!

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

Re: I love fall and everything, but....

Fall means nothing here in Florida. We don't ever see the trees changing color. The only change here is in my front yard.

About a year ago, I started growing an avocado pit in a glass of water. Then, it was transplanted to a pot. Now, it's about 3 ft. tall and my husband finally planted it in the ground. I know it will never have fruit because it would have to have been grafted but at least it will be a nice shade tree and not a messy one.

We have a huge one in the back yard and the neighbors love them. Personally, I hate avocados.......Smile

Fall is my favorite season too. I'm good through the end of December and then it gets really cold and snowy. I would like to skip January, February and March. Just go from December to April.

It is bittersweet, isn't it? For some reason, this year the trees were the most spectacular sight to behold. I don't remember ever seeing the changing colors so bright and beautiful.

But you are right. My allergies are out of control AND no matter how we cut it, winter will soon be here. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Magic, the trees are spectacular this year- reds, golds, greens I've never seen them look so gorgeous.
