My local news has a series going on about our crumbling interstate highways and the company that has the contract to repair them. ( Big campaign contributors to the governor, atty general and state legislature, but that's another developing story.)
The interstate roads not been repaired for a few years and cars have been damaged and tires have blown. Motorists have been advised that the state is responsible for damages.
I wish I had known that when I blew a tire last fall.
Check your state's policy to see if they are liable as mine is.
