I wear eye makeup so this way of applying eye drops would still be a messy job. If you don't wear makeup then it would be great!

I think it would work better this way. Who wears makeup in the corners of their eyes???? It's just a drop - it can't be messy.... Try it - it'll work...

Thanks, sophiamarie, for the tip. I have cataract surgery looming in my future so this will come in handy, I am sure. Smile

Try to avoid getting the medicine into the tear duct or else it will just come out your nose or eyes.

You just described me! I just had cataract surgery and have to put drops in the operated eye several times a day. I have 3 bottles of drops 3 times a day so you can imagine the mess. Thanks so very much for the tip. I will try it today. By the way, thank DH. Thanks, again. docsgirl

I just tried it by bending my head back while sitting here. It works the same way. I didn't have to use a tissue either.

I hope your surgery was successful. Do you have to have the other eye done too, or just one???? When was your surgery????

It should work for me since I do my best work lying down.

I've done that---I had to use steroid eye drops a while ago and the ophthomologist told me that...

Re: I learned something new last night.....

Never heard it, but I'm going to try it at least for some of my drops. I use three kinds in the AM followed by one every hour and ending with 2 just before light off. It would be great to have less waste which is both uncomfortable and extremely expensive.
