I learned something new last night.....

So, I put eye drops in my eyes a few times a day. (I use Refresh).... Anyway, it's always a mess - tears dripping down my face, missing more times than not - anyway, my husband said he read somewhere (probably FB) that this is a "no-fail" way.

You lie down flat. Close your eyes and put the drop right in the inside corner of your eye. Then blink and Voila...... No muss, no fuss. The drop goes right in and no more dripping... It was amazing. I didn't waste any drops and no wiping tears away...

Does anyone else use drops this way. If you learned something from this - then you can thank me later......Wink{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Thanks for posting this. I'm going to try it. I always have a hard time with eye drops! I tear a lot, so mine are to help dry them up a little.

Re: I learned something new last night.....

I wear eye makeup so this way of applying eye drops would still be a messy job. If you don't wear makeup then it would be great!

If someone tries it with waterproof makeup, please report your findings. Thank you.

Re: I learned something new last night.....

I would love to hear some feedback on this. I tried it for the first time last time right before bed, so I had no makeup on. I don't know how it works with makeup, but even putting them in with makeup the "regular" way, wouldn't that be messy too???? {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

I learned this fact only when I had a recent cataract operation. Good to pass on!

This is great. I start using my drops next Friday for my first cataract surgery the following Monday. You know - three days before. I'm so glad I learned this right at the right time too.......

Re: I learned something new last night.....

You just described me! I just had cataract surgery and have to put drops in the operated eye several times a day. I have 3 bottles of drops 3 times a day so you can imagine the mess. Thanks so very much for the tip. I will try it today. By the way, thank DH. Thanks, again. docsgirl
