First of all why can't YOUR son support his own child?? FULL TIME job..put the game controller down and LOOK!

As for a green card. She married an American and has a child...having the child should be enough to keep her here..

You don't think he can take losing his daughter? I recall that the plan all along was for her parents to take the baby back and raise her? He agreed with that.

She was over here on some type of Visa to begin wtih to go to school for her Master's..so she is not dumb by any stretch.

Why do they need gov't aid, why do people need to support them? Why cannot he also find a full time job..?

As for the truth and all. This is up to your son NOT you to be figuring things out.

Ever hear of the term anchor baby? She has one..she won't be deported. With the millions of illegal aliens in this country she has a child by an American...she isn't going anywhere..

She never liked you because you were very prejudice against her with all of your comments here. You snooped thru their mail and everything. You did not like the name of her child, you made comments about 'china doll' etc. Seriously, do you think she would welcome you with open arms?

Your son needs to get off his duff and start supporting his family.

She is married to a US citizen and the mother to a US citizen. I am pretty sure she will be granted a green card. Unless I don't know the facts (wouldn't be the first time).

she will be able to get a green card because she is married to a citizen. her son has to start the process by filling out the paperwork, making sure all documents are translated into english by an official translator, and by submitting appropriate fees. it can be tedious, but not that difficult. you can do it yourself OR you can get a lawyer who specializes in immigration.

.....and once she gets her green card then after a few years she can apply for citizenship.

She can't get legal aid for food or shelter or anything and my son has to make enough money to care for her and they have guidelines as to what he has to make and she does not want to be a citizen in the USA...........so I don't know what she will do......time is running out.........she is out of college and was supposed to go back him but his step mom is trying to find out some tihngs and they may come back here and stay with his dad for one month until they can get on their feet but if she can't work they won't get on their feet and I am not letting them live with me again.........it did not work the last time.

AGAIN WHY CAN'T HE WORK?? FULL TIME..you know the thing that most of us do to support ourselves and not expect the gov't to do for us.

She is MARRIED to a US Citizen and has a CHILD by him...she isn't going anywhere. She just needs to get the ball rolling on paperwork. I am thinking maybe her student visa is running out and everybody is jumping the gun not knowing a lick about anything.

She has been working right? While your son only worked part-time, played video games and wanted the beach!

RRR, there is assistance available for your son, wife and grand-daughter. Their best bet is to seek legal advice with a immigration attorney. Has your DIL looked into an ADJUSTMENT FOR STATUS ?

If it was my son, my advise to him would be.. Grow up, figure it out, your actions have consequences, deal with it.

I have no idea if all of this is real or what, but it seems too crazy to make it up!

...or anyone who has lived here and gone through this with a fiance or spouse! i agree with you also about them getting an immigration lawyer also. they know the ins and outs of everything so much better than two people who dont know what they are doing AND have a baby!
