I wish I had some answers for you but all I can do is send good thoughts and hope it all works out so that your precious granddaughter will be able to say in the States. God Bless and take care of yourself.
Hello Lindsays Grandma....so nice to hear from you and all. Things do have a way of working out but my son needs to stay in Houston and work.......there are not the jobs here as they are there...........I think for her to stay here he has to make 20,000 or 25000 a year and he makes about $600 a month........so who knows. He should go to work at a factory and make good money and sponsor his own wife. Hugs to you........and ROMARY and all. Goodnight. I plan on going out of state to the Zoo tomorrow..........

Gee, it seems to me that they can get some type of food stamps (and/or whatever) because of the baby and your son is a citizen, going to school and working part time. 'I don't know', but I'm thinking that everyone there isn't getting the correct information. I could be wrong, though. ........... Edited: Yes, I guess you are correct. The husband has to make a certain amount to sponsor a non-citizen who wants a green card. That does make sense, although, now I'm thinking that if she's married to him.......I'm all 'mixed up' (confused) all over again, over-thinking, as usual. Well, good night, and enjoy your day.

p.s. Yes, he should get a factory job for the time being, in order to sponsor his wife and baby, if that's what he has to do. Again, sleep well, and enjoy your drive and the Zoo.

Well, I guess we now know why the son called RRR suddenly and unexpectedly today....

In general: There's always some type of rhyme and reason in life situations, if we look hard enough...........

I don't have it to give and I have to have a few days for emergency. I will not give them any money...........I have done that for two years and for my son for all his life..........no more. I don't have it.
RRR, I am so glad to hear you WILL NOT GIVE THEM MORE MONEY. Good for you; don't give in. I know you need your money for yourself.

The U.S. State Department cracked down on these marriages decades ago because so many people just married American citizens in order to stay here.On 8/13/2014 Nancy Drew said:She is married to a US citizen and the mother to a US citizen. I am pretty sure she will be granted a green card. Unless I don't know the facts (wouldn't be the first time).
she will be able to get a green card because she is married to a citizen. her son has to start the process by filling out the paperwork, making sure all documents are translated into english by an official translator, and by submitting appropriate fees. it can be tedious, but not that difficult. you can do it yourself OR you can get a lawyer who specializes in immigration.
.....and once she gets her green card then after a few years she can apply for citizenship.
