I jumped the gun with Halloween candy!

While grocery shopping yesterday, I jumped the gun and bought Halloween candy.....

.....don't even ask me how many pieces I've eaten! LOL!

Re: I jumped the gun with Halloween candy!

It's been out in the stores where I am for a while now, which is good.  I have a friend from England for a visit in a week's time and she loves to get this to take home.  She'll have plenty of choice!

I only ever buy one bag for myself closer to the holiday.

@KingstonMom   Knowing myself, I wouldn't dare.

Candy is candy.  It is good any time of the year.  if you enjoy it, just buy it and enjoy.

Often holiday treats are now reshaped for a different holiday and are available all year around such as candy corn and peeps.  Even Resses peanut butter cups come in egg shapes and tree shapes depending on the holiday.

Which is the exact reason we all buy the candy early.

Happy Halloween

If I bought any Halloween candy it would be gone within a few days.  I am so weak when it comes to sweets that I just don't buy unless I plan to indulge.

Some people are much stronger than me and I'm always impressed how they can stay strong and not eat it.

Re: I jumped the gun with Halloween candy!

I bought a small bag of candy corn and a mixed bag of Twix, 3 Musketeers, Snickers and Milky Ways (including dark chocolate and milk chocolate) and a separate bag of Reeses peanut butter cup minis.

I think if I try to show some restraint, maybe, just maybe, I'll have some left for Halloween.

OR I'll just buy more! LOL!

Well... everyone knows you have to carefully TEST which candy will be best to distribute when the actual holiday rolls around....and that may require eating a piece at different times of the day to be sure...

So who can blame you?!?!?

  Imagine my shock when my husband told me there were already Christmas decorations out in Lowe's yesterday.  I couldn't believe it!

@hopi

Like the pumpkins in your post! I was looking for the brown pumpkins (chocolate flavored) yesterday, but didn't find any, darn it!

I should've looked at the Dollar store when I stopped in there, but I was mainly looking for decorations there.

I'll find some somewhere!
