I have a serious problem with shows like Jerseylicious

I've never lived on the East Coast, so help me understand the women on shows like Jerseylicious. They look like tramps, way too much makeup, heavy dark eyebrows, strange hairstyles. Are they typical of East coast women? Their grammar is poor, they're combative, etc. etc. I find myself judging them from their appearance and the way they talk, and I'm uncomfortable with doing that.

And the young men--those hair cuts! Yikes.
