Do prisoners get pajamas or do they sleep in their prison clothes? I was just curious. How often do they get clean ones?

It probably depends. I know - that is a lousy answer. I don't imagine all prison systems work the same. There are your 'country club' prisons where they probably have a wardrobe. Then there are probably those that just have the prisoners wearing the same thing 24/7.

But I've never seen people in prison, in a movie or on a tv show, with sleepwear. I imagine they get to send their clothes to laundry at least once a week. In between you could probably wash something in the sink and hang it up during the night, if it needs cleaning.

I can't say that I've ever wondered what prisoners sleep in.

But I'm guessing their skivvies.

Interesting reading biker. I didn't realize the prisoner clothes are washed in their laundry bag. Guess that is a good way to not lose each inmates belongings?

I believe they sleep in their prison issued clothes. My ex-BIL' s younger brother is in prison. He got mixed up with drugs at an early age and will do anything to get them. The only thing the family is allowed to bring is underwear, undershirts and socks.
