The elevator doors were just about closed when this young man pressed the button in the lobby to open the doors and jumped in. I said my usual, "Good morning, how are you?" and he answered me with such anger the likes of which I’ve never heard . . . "What do you care how I am. Don’t talk to me. Mind your own business." I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was so shocked. I said, "Sorry." He said, "Yes, you are sorry" (as if saying I’m pathetic).

When the doors opened at my floor I started walking out, and he said, "Who do you think you are not holding the elevator for me? You saw me running to catch the elevator." I just walked out and said nothing.

I am so shaken up. No one has ever spoken to me like that, nor have I ever spoken to anyone else like that.

What’s wrong with people?
