I have those Rose ones, but haven't tried them yet. The Opals are good too! And peanut butter and apple is best with crunchy pb and a LIGHT sprinkle of medium-coarse sea salt on top.
Cortlands make THE best apple pies for me. They have a slightly winey taste that is so good!!!

-originally grown in New Zealand
-introduced here in 1996
-now grown commercially in Washington state
-available November through April

I like Gala and Opal. The Opals have a very short season, but I purchase Gala year-round.

yes we first saw opal apples a couple of weeks ago and tried them and they are very good.
