I finally decided which microwave to buy. It's not an easy decision. Reminds me of voting. I have to go with the lesser of evils. I bought a Sharp. I wanted white, but the whites I saw were either the wrong wattage, size or had too many problem reviews. I read every review on every site I could think of. I checked with online articles about reports. I watched YouTube videos. I went to manufacturer websites. Now I'll just take the size that's larger than I wanted, and a higher wattage. I wanted 1100 Watts. It's also not white. I bought a Sharp 1200 watt countertop model. I'll have to recalculate how long everything I make in it will take. I wish it weighed less and took up less space. I just hope it lasts for two or more years. My brain is fried. 🤪

Good luck on your purchase & I hope it lasts longer than 2 years for you!

Didn't realize you were looking for a microwave. Sharp is a good Brand. Didn't realize there was a 1200 watt. Is it a 30inch? One question. Are you short like me so you can't reach an over the counter microwave? lol. I'm 5'2" and I do not like over the counter.
We flip houses and everybody wants that because it does not take up counter space.
Hope it lasts a long time.

@Sage04 @There's really no such thing as a good brand anymore. It's 24" wide. 19.8 x 24.1 x 13.8 inches.
It's a countertop model, so no reaching over the stove. I'd post the horror photos from reviewers for every brand there is, if I had the space to post them. The best looking microwaves are from Breville. They are expensive and have problems too. If you flip houses, I guess you try to put in the over the stove type and you use models that match the other kitchen appliances. I did not check the longevity of any over the stove models.

My current Sharp is a 1,200 watt also. I just shave off a very small amount of time, since more things are based on 1,100. I don't think the diff is that much.
Funny, seeing this, I just did a Marie Callender small turkey pot pie. It said 5 to 6:30 minutes. I did about 6:10-6:15 and it is perfect.

I had a Samsung Microwave placed over the stove when I had my house built and it's been 5 years and no issues. I hope your lasts too.

Speaking of Samsung. LOVE my new fridge and range from them!
The next microwave which is now Whirlpool will be from Samsung. It's over 15 years old and doing great!
(On a side note, the black is so fresh and pretty. Always thought I'd hate black here in the woods in a country house! Looks really great!).

My microwave is from 1990 and is huge, but it will not die. Probably just jinxed myself. I use it for something every day. Not cooking, but water, veggies, reheating. It’s older than the families kids......I have had it for more than half my life. Pretty funny.

I had a Panasonic Inverter and it lasted over 20 years. When it started to act up last year, I replaced it with the same brand and model. I'm hoping it lasts another 20 years. (Ummm...it might outlive me!)

@Mindy D I had an 1100 watt Sunbeam that lasted for many years. When it finally stopped heating correctly last year. I bought theexact same one because I had such good luck with the first
I also like how the controls work (easy peasy). It only came in black. I've had this one for a year now and am still loving it. The turntable works well too; never comes off its track.Bought both mine at Target.
Good luck with yours.
