I have 6 kitties. I have 3 pedigree Siamese females, one Siamese female rescue, one male orange & white rescue, and one white female stray I recently took in.

After our dog passed away a few years ago, we decided not to have another dog. I love dogs, but didn't want the responsibility again.

In what has turned out to be a bad idea, my father adopted a male Pomeranian dog a couple months ago. He already had a yellow Labrador. I guess he thought it would be a good companion for his lab. The Pomeranian is so different than the lab. He is much more active, wants a lot of attention, and the worst, he runs away if he gets a chance. My dad doesn't have a fenced yard, and can't have one. I really think he just doesn't like the Pomeranian. He is a really cute little guy, but you have to remember to put him in another room and shut the door if you are going to open the outside door. My dad can't seem to remember to do this. We bought him an address tag, and the neighbors have returned him a few times. Last time he got away, my dad didn't even go looking for him. Since my mother passed away, my dad is a different person, and is having memory problems.

Now my husband (who didn't want a dog either!) is saying we should take the Pomeranian. I have NO idea how the cats and he would get along (or not!). I have enough animals, but feel bad about the dog.
