I don't fly much so I have a question. Can anyone help answer it?

My husband and I are flying Jet Blue. I would like to just take 2 carry ons and that's it. My question is about the liquids allowed on the plane. (I haven't flown in a long, long time). If I take shampoo, conditioner, will that be allowed in my suitcase. When you take a carry on do they look inside? I suppose they do but what should I do to make sure nothing gets rejected. (I could probably go on Jet Blue's site, but it is so much better getting suggestions here.) Thanks Ladies.
