I went to the ATM around 6:30p, I got very nervous with the truck behind me, then my boss called me and I took my card and left without my $200.  I feel so stupid. Will call the bank in the morning.

Hopefully, the person in the truck behind you will turn in your cash.    I have found cash in the ATM before and turned it in.

The bank will be able to view the video and be able to ID who was behind you, especially if they completed a transaction.

My story does not compare in seriousness with yours, but you may need a laugh. I went to Wendy's drive-through. Ordered, drove to window. Paid. Drove away. I had to drive around the block, go back through the line, to retrieve my food. The youngsters working inside were hysterically laughing.

Not dumb.  I've walked away from money before.  If I was the person who came behind you I would make a trip to the bank the next morning to turn it in.  Maybe they're doing that.

I drove up to the Sonic drive through rigtht past the order speaker.

My car pulled up to the window and said I had the large diet coke.

It dawned on my that I had not ordered my diet coke.

The youngish clerk and I just laughed. I said thanks -just a Senior moment.

@Miami Spices   Believe it or not...I did the exact same thing at Wendy's last summer.  Fortunately there was no one behind me.   I pulled away after paying and the kid at the window yelled "Hey Lady...don't you want your food?"   I backed up...and yes I heard some giggling.
