Thank goodness none of my Facebook friends air any dirty laundry there. I've found it's a great way to keep in touch with those you don't see very often. Many of my former band members are my friends on FB. And I keep a very tight rein on who I have as friends.
I didn't know you were in a band Sushismom. What kind of music?
Oh, it was a long time ago. Mostly R&B, Latin, funk, some blues. Unfortunately, life got in the way for me but quite a few of my friends are still playing. And local musicians are usually a tight-knit group so many I knew but never played with are on my FB friends list.
Oh, that is so great. I am so jealous of people who are musically inclined whether it be singing or playing instruments. I love music and about any genre but it doesn't love me.
I am so envious of anyone who can play music, and sing! What a gift that way!.I am just so blown away by the talent people possess I hail from the Lucy Ricardo school of Music, hahah. Yup, sing just like her, and the hair to match!! LOL!

I saw things that weren't 'dirty laundry', but just peoples every day 'activities'. It was appalling. Kids hinting what they did the night before or what they wanted to do and with whom.
Same thing with Twitter. You know what they're up to, it only takes a few words to give you the whole picture.
I can imagine now with all the pics being posted and texted what it's like now.
And then there's the bullying.......
I have never seen any bullying on FB.
Are you kidding me
On the other front I agree, I have seen people share every little detail of their life. I've seen posts from the time they get up, go the gym, how great their life is, how messed up their life is. the kids, the pets, the husband the BFF's, boyfriend-girlfriend problems it's is never ending.

I'm not on FB, either.
Too many crazies out there.

Okay I could be wrong about the bullying. I thought that's where school kids were bullied, on other peoples facebook pages. For all to read. I guess I got that wrong!

Hi bikerbabe
How are you and the new kitty getting along?
This forum is as close as I get to what most consider, social media. Don't have about to worry about spreading my family's dirty laundry as there is none. Now clean laundry? Lot's of that, but I will keep it to myself also, unless my sis visits here again and wants to talk about lot's of it.

It's a shame that FB gets such a bad rap....FB is what you make of it, and who you have for friends.
I keep it very limited, under 100 friends/family.
I love it.

Most people would be SHOCKED if they ever read the FB Terms of Use that they agreed to when they signed up!
As for me, I set up a FB account ...... under a false name! LOL

I like facebook. I don't post about myself (I do comment on pictures, and posts of others etc). I mostly play games on it and get to see pics of long distance relatives and long distance friends. Also- I love following musicians, news, artists, tv shows, movies, the list goes on!
The only person that posted (divorce) drama on facebook was an old acquaintance of mine and I deleted her.
I DO hate when some friends post every thing they do as in ALL day long, (like what they ate, if they went shopping) but I just glance and scroll by..lol.

I have not personally seen any bullying on FB. My settings locked to private only family and friends. That could be why I have not seen any bullying.
