Ford.....I am glad its fixed....

I am not sure if you are in a state that springs forward...falls back....but I would give the maintenance man new batteries each time...have him put them in for you and then this won't come up again....

DONE!!! It's over!! The maintenance guy told me to always call him if it happens again, that even though it's not listed as an "emergency," that it should be fixed right away.

OMG, I feel like I was just let out of jail!!! Thank you all again for your suggestions. YAY!!

Phew! But dang. I was voting for you to call your local hunky fireman. Is your maintenance guy at least kind of cute?

I sure know what you are going through!! Whenever I lose electricity (weather) my alarm starts chirping! It drove me nuts last summer but it was even worse for my cat. I was getting her ready to take her to a boarding place--after almost 2 days of non-stop beeping--when the electricity came back on! I live in an apt building and this is just how it is!
