I am such a sucker.

Was at the pet shop today with my daughter and grandkids.I was playing with the ferrets when I noticed that a beautiful gray rat in the next aquarium was standing on something and looking at me.I had a pet rat as a teenager so I thought. Nothing of petting him.He then crawled up my arm and curled up on my shoulder by my neck.The sales guy said yeah that's a nice it's a shame he's going to be snake food.I said what,why would you sell this type of rat for that.He said it's Friday and that's our last large rat.He'll be gone tonight.Well I am not well so my 6 dogs and 3 cats are all I can handle.Fortunately my daughter and grandkids fell for Mr. Rat and he is in his element at their home.He is already learning tricks.I know many people really hate rats but they are clean,intelligent creatures who are great pets.I just couldn't let Mr. Rat be snake food.But then I have all my pets because I am a sucker who can't leave any animal who's abandoned.Thanks for reading.Have a great weekend.
