I went to bed early like 7 and woke up at 2am. I spent most of the day cleaning out drawers and cabinets and didn't clean up the mess I made. So when I got up I spent a couple hours cleaning that up before I could tackle the dusting and vacuming.

I wanted to decorate for Christmas early this year because I am not hosting thanksgiving. Cleaning out those drawers and cabinets yesterday didn't help my back.

My daughter came over at 8 and she helped me decorate. She did an amazing job and I am passing the crown to her. I still have to put up my small trees and set out my dolls in their christmas finery but most of it is done.

I didn't do as much as I have done in the past. But the great room looks pretty festive and I am happy.

Tomorrow my husband has to have minor surgery to remove a major piece of skin cancer on the top of his head. Thankfully he is bald, so no worry about hair loss. Just sad, that this is one more thing that he has to endure. They told him to allow about two hours for the proceedure because the cancer is deep. He has gotten skin cancer before but this is the worse one yet.

I am going to try to stay up as late as I usually do. I don't want another 2am wake up call. Thanks for reading my sad story.
