She just changed her Nic under the same account. That is allowed. You just can't have multiple accounts.
Yet there are so many that do. Always have been posters with multiple accounts, always will be posters with multiple accounts. Heck, there are even accounts that have been "parked" or "reserved" for years ready to be used when needed.
How would you know this unless it is something you have done. You don't have access to info on others accts.

for what it is worth, here is how i figured out that someone could easily have two accounts......and this is just one of the ways......

i access my moms account online also, along with mine. i can make her a forum name if i wanted to AND have mine. i can open two windows, two different browsers and be on my account and hers at the same time. it is quite simple to do.

in other words, all you need is two emails to make two accounts.....or more.

correct. people used to discuss getting throwaway email accts to do this here

Exactly, @sunshine45. Even though it's a standards violation* for one person to have more than one email address to use on the forums and it's disrespectful to others (and damaging to one's own integrity), it's been happening for a long, long time. I have never understood why anyone would want to do this, or why it wouldn't nag at their conscience to be so duplicitous, but if someone's determined to break the rules, they always find a way -- and here, it's really not hard to do. 😟

how can anyone keep things straight. one time there was a poster on the old boards that got bagged. she was posting in two or three forums at the same time and replying.

You do know millions shop here, don't you?. Like me, they do know how to read just like me. As I did here a lot when I was going through chemo. I never signed up here to post just like majority of those who shop here. But people still read, OK.
