I am not a fan of a host ...

having one “live” garment on the rack, & showing the other colors on .com.  How are we supposed to get an idea of true color by looking through 2 screens?  To make it worse, sometimes the one real sample is black.

It is there way of having less merch in studio , less work. But i agree , .com doesn't do the item justice.

I have seen times when there are many colors of an item on set; especially TSV's, and it takes a great deal of time for the host to announce each color and sometimes describe them.  There is occasionally confusion as to which color they are presenting because the garment information card they are provided is wrong. I have also witnessed some hosts occasionally struggle with clothing that becomes entangled with hangers; happens to the best of us; so I wonder if this is simply a welcome effort to address some of these issues. If so, I think that is wonderful!🤔

I think she is referring to Q2 live shows, as they Skype in and are limited to the items they have from whatever location they are skyping in from.

The black garments are a total waste as far seeing what they actually look like on a person or hanging on a rack. It's like a black hole.

@LindaSal Thanks for the clarification.👍 I was wondering if it was something new, and I just missed it. I have been unable to watch QVC much lately because I am currently out of country. 😊

You can't tell an item's "true" color either on TV or online.

They should let David show clothing - he enjoys "doing the colors."

I noticed this yesterday when I was watching Katrina Szish on QVC2.  She was in the studio and had one black dress on a rack, and the other colors were shown from an online view.  I didn't like it at all.

I didn't watch the entire show so don't know if it was all like that.

On David Venable's Facebook chat, talking about the safety and security measures going back to last spring when unexpected changes had to be put in place, he has said that the staff at the Studio Park broadcast venue was

reduced from the usual  4,500  employees

to about 150

I haven't heard him say they've restored the staffing levels yet -- I think the last time someone asked on the chat he said it might not be decided until autumn (his guesstimate).
I would think such a drastic cut in staff at Studio Park accounts for quite a number of changes -- the small team of employees remaining there has to prioritize their tasks.
Pulling stock for on-air presentations and then gathering it up and returning it to the warehouse might be one of the time-consuming tasks affected.

QVC isn't the company they were when I was a fan years ago, I'm disappointed in them for a long list of reasons and seldom order now, but I suppose all companies did what they could to stay in business and get through the pandemic.
