A month or so ago we received an email notice regarding our dog license renewal with the County. It was sent out before they physically sent the forms to fill out.

My husband wrote back to the email that our dog was deceased.

Today in the mail we received a touching note from the County expressing sympathy and sharing what dog's bring to our lives and hearts. I thought that was above and beyond for the County to do. Guess the people who take care of dog licenses like dogs and people too.

@drizzellla  Nice gesture from your county and from your post it was very much appreciated.  I would have have been pleased to have received such a note acknowledging my loss.

I guess it's just the county's way of acknowledging that you no longer have a dog and a subtle reminder that you;ll need ro re-register if you get another.  It's a nice way to do it.
