We go to the casino two or three times a year for dinner, live music, and maybe to play the slots for a bit. We never lose much or expect to win anything. It’s just for fun. Well, my husband won $3,750 a couple of weeks ago. He walked up to where I was playing and told me, and I thought he meant $37.50, which wd have been fine. When I realized what he was saying, I jokingly told him, “I hate you! I never win.” But I was happy not so much about the money but because he had the fun of winning, if that makes any sense. We gave the money to the food bank and no-kill animal shelter that we support.

@AKgirl2

That was sweet of you to say. To be honest, we hadn’t given as much to those causes this year, so I felt we owed a debt.

That’s great! It doesn’t take much to make our day a bit brighter. Enjoy your winnings. 😃

If I won 5.00 IRS would be there to take 3 of it.

@libbyannE  ~ I'm sure the food bank and animal shelter will be over the moon thankful and ecstatic receiving your very generous donations.  Believe me, you're debt free!

@Anonymous032819  Good for you. My inlaws loved to gamble, my MIL played the slots and my FIL played Black Jack. Those two were always at the casinos and my MIL won big a few times.
