A possible fraud alert popped up on my computer. I verified it was legit. I called my bank. Girl at the bank said Sirius would id themselves as Sirius, not tv-radio entertainment whatever.
I was already paid up thru Apil 2026 with Sirius and got the plan transferred. Alerted my bank and am "fixing" to call the scammers.
I just renewed my Sirius via the chat on their website and it did come up on my Amex as "entertainment services". What did you find out from Sirius itself?

I'm so sorry that happened to you, but to be honest, I can't imagine googling a number and then calling a company that had a different name than Sirius and giving my bank account information over the phone. No way whatsoever.
But I'm the girl who doesn't use a debit card. I can't imagine using a debit card for a repetitive expense either.

@gidgetgh - I very rarely use my debit card and hubby got rid of his. I feel a lot safer using a credit card. I don't want any company having access to my checking account with a debit card.

And if accounts are linked, they might also be able to access other accounts. Were I the OP, I'd cancel the card and have the bank send a new one. Probably less hassle in the long run than dealing with other potential messes.

@San Antonio Gal - exactly. I made a decision years ago to not use my debit card anymore at all and figured there would be a period of adjustment for me. There was no adjusting to it at all. It was easy.

@monicakm ...I have Sirius XM in house and car...I've never paid that much...what we do is tell them we're canceling, or not renewing....you'd be shocked how fast they drop the rate. Call your credit card, and dispute the entire charge...dont wait on anything. Sorry this happened.

I did this with my ISP, after months of exasperating wkly calls for lost service, credit requests, lost programs, repeated In Home Tech Calls, etc.
I was serious as a Heart Attack at finally cancelling them! And even already arranged competitor's installed Svc, running side-by-side, for comparison of the 2.
AND, *POOF* - now, no more problems, AND addt'l DVR space, AND my same ISP bills now are $100+ LESS/mo! ........ Magic, huh?
