I Stopped at Borders Today

I was out and about and decided to take a look at the "going-out-business" sale at the Borders in my city. It was absolutely mobbed. I have shopped there off and on over the years, but it has never been my favorite bookstore. Anyway, the markdowns were generally about 20% off, some things a little more.

My overall comment is, why are all these folks patronizing this store now, when the business of being a bookseller is almost a thing of the past? Where were they a year or even six months ago??

Really sad, I hate to see any bookstore go.
