One of my supervisors (we have 3) and I were talking today, and she said that she was talking with her daughter, and that she told her that I have a lot of common sense.
I thanked her for the complement, and she said, "No, really. You see things as they actually are."
It's always nice to get a complement, especially if it's from someone that you work with.

I'm happy for you @Anonymous032819 --not just because you have common sense (which is difficult to teach someone), but because you have someone at work who appreciates you and let you know it. #priceless

@Anonymous032819 Congrats to you! Always good to get a compliment in the workplace, especially from a boss.
Long ago, one of my co-workers used to say that common sense is not so common. And that continues to, unfortunately, hold true in the workplace as well as in other areas of life.

That is a great compliment! From when I worked, I remember, praise and compliments were few and far between. This trait is one that serves us well - no matter what situation.

I teach third grade. I always tell my students that common sense is as important than anything else you learn in life.
It was nice of your boss to notice and tell you. 🤗

My mindset is that common sense is one of the absolute greatest things to possess, so I feel you have truly been complimented! Enjoy and be proud that others readily see your strength!

Congratulations on the compliment, @Anonymous032819 !
I may have been a little bit confused, though. Your supervisor’s daughter is your co-worker? And she complimented you to her mother the supervisor? (I was just a little surprised that a someone would be supervising such a close family member. Is it a family business, maybe?)

@shoesnbags I think the supervisor told her daughter about Anonymous032819 having common sense.
