Hi everyone.  I almost missed the last couple of posts.  I haven't been paying much attention to the boards this past couple of weeks.  Too few hours and too much to do.

@nafecar, I am so sorry you are still having pain.  Unfortunately I doubt your doctor can give you a timeline for being pain free.  I am so happy to read that the Queen is still with you and being a velcro dog.  I know how much she means to you.  Hope all is well with the rest of the family.  I know you know what I mean.

@newberry, so good to hear from you.  Hope all is well with you and the boys.

Marp I am so glad to see that you posted. All is well with me and mine. I hope you are well and happy too. I'm trying to be better checking in here in hopes that some of the other hutchmates will post too.

Nafe hope you are feeling better. Take care of yourself.

Re: I Miss My Hutchmates!!!

[ Edited ]

@Tinkrbl44 Several years ago a former poster with "bunny" as part of her nic started a thread.   It was a support thread that grew  and had a number of regular posters that were eventually dubbed the "hutchmates".

@newberry, I too have to be better about checking the thread.  I'm not here all that much and read more than post.

I'm doing okay, not much has changed.  I still visit mom four or five days a week and I've been spending a lot of time with my great nephew and niece building bridges as they approach pre-teen status and the requisite friends and activities over family time lol.  Can you believe that grNiece, the youngest, will soon be 9!  I can no longer keep her entertained by sending her out to count blades of grass.  Remember that one?

Of course, this time of year I've also been keeping busy with getting my tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, etc. going.  I'm already harvesting green onions and garlic should be ready in a few more weeks.  I have to admit though as the physical limitations increase the size of my planting decreases.

Animals are all doing good.  Tea's seizures are well controlled with her medication and even though she will turn 5 next week she is still an energetic kitten at heart with well developed assassination techniques.

Guess that pretty much covers the basics.

I often think of the missing hutchmates but understand how changing routines and everyday life takes over.

Now it is your turn.  Are you still involved with pearls?  Are you still cooking?  What are your "boys" up to?

Nafey, sorry you still have pain and age is troubling Queen. Putting Jasmine down was so hard I would wait until it seems Queen can't bear her pain.

Marp, glad Mom and the pets are doing well. I often think of you and the other hutchmates.  Do you ever hear from bunny?

Syds, can't believe Syd is  11!  Glad she still is a joy in your life.

Hi newberry!  When I wear my pearls I think of you. I just wore them Saturday to my son's fiancée's shower. They are getting married July 16th.

I finished the year teaching in the new town. I probably will teach there next year. They reduced it to part time which is perfect for me. I'm going to NH on Thursday. My nephew is getting married up there on Saturday.  We will stay in the trailer we put on our lot. My kids will stay at the resort where the wedding is.  DH knocked down the house this winter and the foundation will be dug right after the 4th of July (fingers crossed). At this rate it'll be done in a couple of years. That's okay with me. I like living in the same state as my kids.

Hope everyone one has a good week!

Hi Voots.  So good to hear from you.  Hoping all is well.

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.  Wishes for many, many years of happiness for DS and his bride-to-be.

Also, congratulations on the progress at the NH property.  It's a big job coming out of the ground but is so going to be worth it.

It sure sounds like retirement didn't take but it sounds like you have enjoyed your teaching assignment.

Sadly, I haven't heard from Bunny for a long time.  I did send a few emails but there were no replies.  Hopefully she is well and will pop in one of these days.

Voots , nice to see a post from you.Sounds like you are a busy gal being busy is a good thing  this coming from one who is not so busy just biding my time and trying to keep all that I can watered down in this unbearable heat we are having. .The Queen can hardly see anymore and keeps bumping into things and me. I have to be careful not to forget she is always near when I am up and about. Hope you have a great time at the wedding.Hopefully DGS will be starting college in Sept to get his degree if all works  out in  the process. I am still praying for the right girl to be in his life  to complete it.

All Mates if you are viewing have a grand summer and hopefully it is not as hot as it is here 116 in my patio yesterday. Power bill should be out the roof but  it is just another little bump in the road  (I hope) .

Nafey, 116 - I can't even imagine that!  I have a hard time with 90s. Try to stay cool. Thank goodness for AC. I'm glad you have Queen to cuddle. Remi is laying next to me right now.

Marp, hope bunny is okay. I bet it is warm where you are too. Hugs and kisses to your fur babies!

My nephew's wedding was very nice. Lots of young people dancing and having a good time. We have my friend's daughter's wedding on Saturday. Today I'm getting fitted for my dress for DS's wedding. Also getting a fill at the nail salon. I decided to go with gel nails for the weddings because my nails were always breaking. I'll regret it later when I grow them out. Tonight my friend is having a pre wedding party at her house. I've never heard of that being done before. Putting on a wedding is enough for me!
