  Yesterday, I saw that the Janie Dooney & Bourke handbag in elephant was available again on QVC.I wanted to buy it but didn’t want to pay $11.47 for s&h.So I went to the Zappos cite & ordered the bag there.It was available for the same price of $228 with free 2 day shipping!!

  This morning I checked the Dooney website.They offered the bag at the same price but they weren’t charging the  sales tax of almost $20 & they were offering a $30 discount to students.My son also offered to purchase it for me using his student discount.This would save me $50!!

   I called Zappos c.s. I explained the situation to the woman I spoke to.She put me on hold to verify what I told her. She came back on the phone & said that she was going to credit my account $50!! She also said the bag was out for delivery & I will have it tomorrow!! If for any reason I wanted to return it she reminded me that returns are free!!

   Now that’s customer service!! QVC would do a lot better if they lived up to their claims of service & value!!

@NicksmomESQWorks for you, but doesn't necessarily mean I want to go to Zappos and order shoes since if I don't have a student discount (I don't) and my state does CHARGE (companies never do -  they just follow laws) tax, I will end up paying the same to Zappos that I would to my local store where I can try to find out what fits.  I understand not wanting to pay extra, but I also see no reason not to support my local businesses.  For what I need to wear, except if I hit a sale, I have not found Zappos a special deal -  but they do have wide-ranging stock.

By the way, the last time I used Zappos CS, they sent the wrong color.  Undoubtedly that error happened in the shipping department.  Since it was just a sneaker I wanted for walking, I kept it.  I hate returns even if they're free.  I just keep in mind that one person's experience doesn't necessarily translate to everyone.

You should also check out Ilovedooney dot com. They have cork Janie Dooney with a wristlet for $216. Not sure what the difference in the leather is. Free Shipping. Going on-line, there's a window to insert ur email address to get 10% off. I've used this site many times and it's GREAT. It's the outlet for the regular Dooney & Bourke site. Everything is in new, perfect condition.

I love ❤️ Zappos also. I ordered an almost $200 Kate Spade purse and it got lost. It was delivered 2 days later than promised and Zappos credited my account for $197.00. That would never happen on QVC.

Believe it or not Qvc has been just as generous with customers.
