@hckynut@ I don't have a problem with using or receiving the notifications.  Posters have said that when you type the @ sign, you get a pop up of posters' names, or when you begin to type the name, you get a list of suggested names.  That is what I do not see on the tablet.  Do you?

        @VanSleepy, I'll post a screen shot of what I see on my iPad when I use just the "@":  

        Then, I just tap the one I want and it's inserted into my post.  I also see a list of suggested names if I use the "@" and type one or more letters.

@dooBdoo, as I mentioned in my prior post (just above this one), I think there's a new wrinkle with regard to the notification drop down menu on some tablets. 

Last week someone in the forum I generally participated in mentioned that this drop down menu was no longer working on her tablet. -- I should have asked her at the time, but it was a crazy week for me. 

I 've read a few other folks are suddenly having this issue as well.

lol, since post #40 is on the prior page, here's what I just wrote: 

@VanSleepy and @newziesuzie, in the past week I've noticed tha a few other posters are no longer seeing the grey drop down menu (with the notification names) on their tablets. 

I'm starting to wonder if something got tweaked and this feature inadvertently stopped working.

@It's important because if you just type @bebe777 without clicking the name on the drop down menu, then the notification isn't sent.... although you have probably assumed that the notification was sent.

@VanSleepy, I think this a new problem. I'd recommend that you post this issue in the  forum and ask the moderators to look into it.

        @muttmom,  On any device, the "@" notifications don't work properly if the nickname contains a space.   You will see them if you're reponding to their post or, in some cases (not all) if they've posted on the thread you're posting in. 

        Also on any device, the "@" notifications only show up in aqua if you're using the default font size/color/etc.  Otherwise, they appear with the same color as your other text.

@bebe777.  Can I add to the confusion, lol?  I have an android phone and the @name feature only pops up when I am quoting and replying. Otherwise I have to type the name.

I cced Brittany who is one of the QVC mods in my first post, but the best place to get the mods to take a look at this is in the Suggestion Box forum.

Normally, I'd just start a thread there but since I don't have a tablet, I can't provide any specifics on this issue which they would really need to have IT take a look at it.

@bebe777 - according to what you just said, you won't see this lol    I have never seen the drop down menu.  It's not something new.  I just type the name, it was no problem, but now you're saying it doesn't work even though I thought it was since it was showing up in green?  I didn't mean to make a big deal about it.  Thanks for your help

@VanSleepy, lol, now this is really strange... because I did actually receive your notification. 

Maybe it's just for the laptops that you need to use the drop down menu... or maybe the QVC IT department tweaked their program... lol, I have no idea... but I did receive the notification. 

Way back last June, if you didn't use the grey drop down menu to select a name, then the notification did not go though... and so that's the premise I've been working under since then.

Well, it looks as though your notification system is working, but you may want to start a thread in the Suggestion Box forum and ask the moderators to help you find your drop down menu.
