@hckynut@ I don't have a problem with using or receiving the notifications.  Posters have said that when you type the @ sign, you get a pop up of posters' names, or when you begin to type the name, you get a list of suggested names.  That is what I do not see on the tablet.  Do you?

@faeriemoon..I just learned how to respond so that you catch the posters attention..at least I think I have.

just wanted to say that some of us r not good on the computer and therefore have those crazy ways of doing things...I am guilty for sure but I don't do it to be annoying and slowly but surely improving and thanks for everyone's patience.

        @VanSleepy, I'll post a screen shot of what I see on my iPad when I use just the "@":  

        Then, I just tap the one I want and it's inserted into my post.  I also see a list of suggested names if I use the "@" and type one or more letters.

        Hi  @VanSleepy!  I know...  I was thinking it might help to show what we see on other devices and then those using Android devices might compare it to what they're seeing.  Do you notice any other problems when you use the Android?  I'm wondering if this is some sort of setting causing the difference.   The "@" notifications use HTML and also JavaScript, so that might be a clue.   I know zero about Androids, though, so I probably shouldn't be in the conversation!   Sorry about that!

For me it is hit or as to whether or not I get the posters' names after I type @.

Also sometimes in my post it appears in aqua and sometimes it appears in black.

I am usually on a lap top.

        @muttmom,  On any device, the "@" notifications don't work properly if the nickname contains a space.   You will see them if you're reponding to their post or, in some cases (not all) if they've posted on the thread you're posting in. 

        Also on any device, the "@" notifications only show up in aqua if you're using the default font size/color/etc.  Otherwise, they appear with the same color as your other text.

@VanSleepy and @newziesuzie, in the past week I've noticed tha a few other posters are no longer seeing the grey drop down menu (with the notification names) on their tablets. 

I'm starting to wonder if something got tweaked and this feature inadvertently stopped working.

@It's important because if you just type @bebe777 without clicking the name on the drop down menu, then the notification isn't sent.... although you have probably assumed that the notification was sent.

@VanSleepy, I think this a new problem. I'd recommend that you post this issue in the  forum and ask the moderators to look into it.
