@77yangya

Happy you got your vaccine!

DH, Dad, & I had ours.

DH and I Moderna -

DH nothing but a sore arm

Me headache, and a bit of nausea with first one

Nothing with 2nd one - sore arm both times.

Dad Pfizer - sore arm with each, nothing else.

Wishing you well.

Re: I Know This Was Mentioned Before

I had Pfizer, both shots, and had no reactions to either one.  Only thing was if I touched my arm where I got the shot I could feel slight pain, but that was only if I touched it or if I brushed against or hit that area of arm against a door or wall.  Arm in general had no pain.  You will be fine, anyone with symptoms was fine within a couple days and you've already experienced some.  Good luck!

I had Moderna; no effect whatsoever with first shot.  About a week after second shot, got a goose egg on my arm that itched a few days but never was sore.

I think some of these side-effects may be the result of the power of suggestion.  Why people insist on comparing symptoms is a mystery.

I haven't had my shots yet , and i am glad to hear people's experiences , if  I should have some of these symptons , i  will remember what others have said , and know it will probably pass. Doctors aren't very forthcoming on what to expect.

I would recommend talking to your personal physician so that you will feel knowledgeable and comfortable with possible side effects. I felt very comfortable getting my vaccination in January as I had been well educated on potential side effects. I think as more people have received their shots there has been less discussion in the media about what to expect.

Aside from the almost immediate dizziness, your side effects are the common ones we're told about. If you're someone who is prone to anxiety, that might have been it.

I got the Moderna vaccine. The first one I was okay just a sore arm which I get with any vaccine. The second shot wasn't the same. I got the shot on a Saturday, Sunday afternoon I didn't feel so great. I had a sore arm which lasted several days and had a red rash under the spot of the vaccine. I normally run 96.8, I had a temperature of 99.6 which is high for me. I had a headache and was nauseous. It lasted into late Monday. I survived and was glad I got vaccinated.

Re: I Know This Was Mentioned Before

So my experience at CVS today. My husband had a bad reaction to the 2nd shot, not the first, that landed him in the hospital back in April. So I go back and forth on the vaccine. I go into CVS early to pick up a prescription and see a sign, No appointment for the vaccine ". I bite the bullet and say okay I will get it. The pharmacist says " We have an appointment at 11:00, if they are a no show we don't want to open the bottle. So I say " Any other appointments today? He says No. So you will open it for that person knowing that might be the only one today but you won't open the bottle for a live person standing in front of you? They tell Yep, that's how it works. So Might get it later, might not.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Re: I Know This Was Mentioned Before

I had my second Pfizer shot almost 2 weeks ago.

The first one, I did feel kind of dizzy shorty after it was given, but didn't think much of it.  Google says dizziness after the shot is common.  My arm was very sore for a day or two, but not intolerable.

Had a period and it was very heavy and lasted about 2 weeks.  I'm guessing my next one will be like that too.  Again, this is a known side effect, but I'm not certain why it happens or how long I will have these heavy periods.

Had second shot and sore arm again.  I felt very tired, but I have chronic illness, so I'm not sure how much of that was the shot and how much was just me being ill to begin with.  I slept most of the first 3 days after the second shot, but was not so sick I couldn't give my guinea pig his medication three times a day.

I had some mild nausea, but again, I'm not sure if it was the shot or chronic illness.

I was nervous about getting the shots, but I'm glad I did.  No one knows how sick they would get from Covid unless they get it.  My aunt didn't make it.  I don't want to go that way, if I can help it.

Re: I Know This Was Mentioned Before

The only person that I know that had side effects after vaccine was my brother. He had asyptomatic Covid19 diagnosis.

My 85 year old Mom & sister with MS & DH with prostate cancer (in remission) had no side effects.
