So I'm on facebook and find what appears to be an interview of Jennifer Hudson by Oprah in which Jennifer Hudson with text at bottom of still shot of inverview which suggests Jennifer Hudson is spilling the beans and confessing that her weight loss is due to a garcinia cambrogia product and a green coffee bean product that is suppose to rid the body of toxins instead of Weight Watchers. The interview suggested she lost an incredible amount of weight in a short period of time by using these products.

There were even comments with personal testimonies from what appeared to be real people. So, I think it's legitimate, click on link, see a $4.95 and $5.95 price for a trial offer and go for it. I tell my Mom about it, look back at the link and find in very small, grey print, a regular price of $90+ per month after the trial is over. (When I signed up, what appeared suggested the regular cost is around $10 each not $90+). So I get a little wiser and google the Jennifer Hudson story and find nothing to verify this story. Surprise. Surprise. I then do what I should have done in the beginning and find the original interview and discover this interview is years old.

I feel stupid, this company has my credit card information and now I will probably need to cancel my credit card in order for the monthly payments to stop. I will call the number listed in the confirmation email tomorrow but I know these companies can be very, very aggressive and will mostly likely tell me I will no longer be charged but will charge me anyway. If they continue the charges, I can always file a complaint with FTC but that won't stop my credit card from being charged.

I am an intelligent woman and usually very skeptical, I can't believe I've been scammed. I know the sharks on these treads will call me stupid, and use other equally insulting descriptions but I want to save someone else the headache.

Others may not be as silly as I was but just in case, here's my story ...beware.

Call the 800 number on the back of your card right NOW and have it reversed! You are not silly. It happens to many, that is why they are so successful.

Sorry to hear you got scammed....hope your story will help others. I would call your credit card company, tell them you fell for the scam, see if they would cancel your card. Do not deal with the rip off artists.

I agree with Cody. Call the card company right now and tell them not to put through that charge.

I am sorry you were tricked. It is a lesson for everyone -- there are no "miracle pills" for weight loss. The only thing that works is eating fewer calories than one burns -- no sort of pill, liquid, food combining, or elimination of certain types of food works.

I agree. Call your credit card company now. Don't wait.

Excellent advice, cody. EastCoastViewer, don't let anyone insult you about this. Everyone makes a mistake now and then, and the online scams are getting more and more sophisticated and convincing. I hope everyone will verify and double-verify the reliability of websites before they trust them, for that reason. (btw: I use a browser add-on called "Web of Trust" or "WOT" which often tips me off immediately.)

You were brave to post it here as a warning to others, and I applaud you for that.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}
