I Have a Friend Who Gets Annoyed.................

When someone offers her a seat on the subway or the bus. She thinks they offer her the seats because she looks old. I don't agree, especially if a man does the offering because I think some men were just taught to offer a seat to a woman. However, if another woman offers the seat, then I could see how that might annoy her. But she talks about this so much, that I wondered what other people think......would you get annoyed in this situation?

No.

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

No, I wouldn't get annoyed but I would probably faint from the shock! I've seen pregnant women struggling to stand on a city bus while young men and women sit. Disgusting!

It has nothing to do with someone offering her a seat and everything to do with how she is feeling about herself.

People have often offered me a seat, and I have offered mine on many occasions- I never question it, sometimes I take it, sometimes I don't...
