I live in NYC and I'm sitting here with no phone, and no cable stations (although I have internet service and network channels). I try to get through to them to no avail. I now find out  (from my local channel 7 news) that this is not just my area but wider. TWC is trying to fix the problem, but don't know when that will be. It's always one thing or another with them. I should really make the switch to another provider, but I'll bet all of them have their problems. I am going to call and insist they adjust my bill for this month.

Make sure you call tomorrow and demand a credit for the day.  I think your service has to be out 4 or 6 hours, not sure exactly.  It amounts to pennies, but if all their customers would do this, perhaps they would shape up. :-)

@Jordan2

We are having problems also! Does your guide list what is on tonight after 7:00 or show unavailable?

I had to Google 'TWC' .  D'oh!

I hear so many complaints about them around the country.  Hope they get it together soon!

@Jordan2, when I saw your title, I asked myself why she would hate The Weather Channel so much! Then I figured out you were talking about Time Warner Cable, lol. We don't have them in my area, we have two local providers. Mine does an outstanding job, and even lowered my bill by $60 a month last month when I went into see them and complained nicely.

I'm sorry you are frustrated. I would definitely seek some credit for the outages.

Please don't use abbreviations or initials unless you're sure everyone knows what you're talking about.  I thought you were referring to The Weather Channel.

My guide lists what is on tonight. I read somewhere online that the first sign of a problem came at 3:22 this afternoon. The only reason I knew there was a problem was I put on SNY and I got a blank picture. I then went to call TWC, that's when I discovered my phone wasn't working either.

I'm sorry I should have been more clear! I have written various threads of my displeasure with TWC.

I don't have TWC as we have another one; it's just as bad.

As another poster commented, I call them when we have an outage, which is often, and they credit my bill.  It's not a lot, but maybe if enough people do this they will find a better way.
