This little crisis brought the gas shortage very close to my area of southern West Virginia.  Our local TV station did a story on the gas supply of a very busy station on the border of WV and VA.   They had just received a delivery, which was for about the number of gallons they normally sell in one day.   To my knowledge, the station has remained open, but I expect more than a few customers bought gas on the WV side for $.08 more a gallon, but no shortage, rather than risk going to that particular station and possibly not be able to buy gas.

I shouldn't have left out I need air conditioning.  I have a dehumidifier that sucks out of my house every day several GALLONS of water.

It's humidity that makes me a raging B....The problem is I have to have the air conditioner sitting at 75 because it makes my arthritis hurt if too low.  Getting old stinks!  Ha!

As far as gas, I have no idea about the cost.  I have a 2016 Acura.  It takes the most expensive gas.  I don't work so the millage per gallon doesn't bother me.

Incidentally, up until this summer I had a business partner who owned OVER 200 service stations (all brands).  I once asked him if gas was really that different (the octanes) and he said, you bet.  He said never put lower octane in cars that say to put the higher octane in them.  I figured he kinda knew something since he had so many service stations, even though he had nothing to do with running them.

STOP....that's not what I meant....lol.

We had some gas shortage due to the pipeline bust in Alabama and ran through several states.  But, everything seems to be okay now and we have plenty of gas.

What is one thing you could not do without in your everyday life?  (material things)....Let's have fun!  HAPPY FALL EVERYONE!

That's too funny.  Mine would be coffee, at the very least!!

We had heard there were gas shortages in some of the areas we need to drive through to get to our home in Florida . DH cheacked in with AAA and they suggested we wait a week to travel through there. So we have changed our travel plans to a week later than originally planned.

Gots to have hot water!

And although I despise high humidity in summer (today is 90 something but the humidity is low and its lovely!!) I've lived in a house without heat in the dead of winter.  If I hadn't gone to stay with someone after several days I probably would have froze to death.

I must have heat in the winter.

I'd just have to sweat in the summer.

Oh, and then there's lipstick and mascara.

I don't leave the house without those on and I like to leave the house on a regular type basis.
