Today is my day off from work, and earlier, I took a nap.

I had a dream where I was sitting on the floor of a room, and I could hear my dad's voice.

I turned to look at him, and he was sitting in a rocking chair.

I took his bare foot in between my hands, and I said, "I miss you, Dad."

He smiled and said, "Uh-huh."

Then I woke up.

It was nice to see and hear him again.

Just thought I'd share.

My Dad will be gone 13 years next week and in all that time I have only dreamt of him once.

I was in the house next door to his and I could see him sitting in his chair in the den by the window.  Hard as I tried to get to him I couldn't, the force of the wind blowing was holding me back.

@Anonymous032819  .... the spirits of our loved ones who have passed on are always with us ..... they come to visit us in our dreams .... my Mom & Dad come to visit me in my dreams quite often 😄

  I dream of Papa often. Once I had a dream I was snow skiing and he was walking past me saying I shouldn’t go down a hill. I woke up and I forgot about it because I wasn’t going skiing.

  A year or so later I went skiing in Colorado after a snow storm. I fell on a turn and got up to go down again and something popped in my leg, no control so I fell again. 

  I pulled the ACL away from the bone and needed two surgeries. 

  I should have listened to Papa. Now I pay attention more to dreams!

@Anonymous032819  This made me teary in a good way. I'm so glad you had a visit with your dad...thank you for sharing! I had just one vivid dream with my dad  who passed and it was so real, made me happy.

I love when I have a dream of my parents or sister. It’s not often but it comforts me. ❤️

I have dreams about all of my family members quite often. None of them are alive and I miss them terribly. I guess dreaming about them is my way of staying in touch...but I can't wait until I'll see them again.

I'm glad you had a nice dream of your father. I sometimes have dreams of my deceased brother and father, most times they're not happy dreams, it's when they were already sick. The saddest thing is forgetting how they sounded.
