Re: I Don't Even Know What to Say About This

I would be sooooo embarrassed to be a parent of either boy. What a stupid idiot thing to do. Both would be fortunate if the other parents of those who had injuries didn't sue them beyond their eyebrows.

Re: I Don't Even Know What to Say About This

Saying it was a stupid thing to do would be a gross understatement. Boys that age put themselves into motion long before they ever have their brains in gear. I'm not a boy, but I sure do remember doing some incredibly stupid things at that age & it's a wonder I survived.

I think our 'best bet' would be to lock up keys during the night. Oh, and lock the car first, because teens could wire-start cars, I'm guessing.

Only at night? Bad things can only happen in the dark? Hmm, better think back over the last 15 years in this country & how many of the absolutely worst things happened in broad daylight.

Kids don't need the dark of night, or cars, to get into mischief.

VCamp.........Yes, you're right. Just thought that teens should be safe at home, sleeping during the 'wee hours'............

I know what to say about this. If a few kids burn to death while trying these moronic stunts, maybe others will think twice. There is such a thing as horsing around when you are a kid with your friends, but kids today take crazy chances with very dangerous ideas. These are not harmless stunts. I guess it never occurs to them that someone can really get hurt or even killed. Now I'll shake my head.

I've recently been repeating this quote: 'Nothing good ever happens after midnight'.....(or something similar). Most young adults/teens have no business driving/gallivanting around during the early morning hours, unless they are on their way to and from work. JMO

There's another one...Nothing can happen after midnight that can't happen before. Think these kids have parents? Think they'll punish their kids?

I attribute it to the What If gene ALL males are born with.........what if we stick this wire in the outlet..........what if we jump off this roof into the pool...........what if we fire this thing off.........what if we light his under arm hair on fire.........and that is where the thinking stops at the what if.

NOW.........the female of the species has this What If gene too, but it's connected to the Scenario gene..........and runs more like.........what if we stick this wire in the outlet...okay let's see, a. it will glow, b. I'll get shocked, c. I could die, and d. all of the above.......Okay not doing it, nope, not me, nope nope nope........that's why we're the smarter of the species, thank that Scenario gene for that.........................................raven

You nailed it! We do both have a "what if" gene, but ours must be longer, because you are right, they stop thinking after the first question!

You should write a book about this!

No, kids don't need the dark of night, but if we tie them to the beds, at least we might get a few hours of peaceful sleep before the all day vigil begins yet again.

Stupid is as stupid does. Let's hope their genes don't pollute the gene-pool someday.

Idiots.
