I kept thinking that I would get out and get some errands run including picking up my required "Sheetz" hot dogs with chili. Sheetz was open (whew) Christmas Day but everything else including Giant Eagle was closed. CLOSED❣️

I am totally messed up. My family is here, I have been up late nights. My sleep schedule is messed up. It is hard. I have been off work since Christmas but will be back Monday. I am off on the 1st, but that is it. I got to get some kind of schedule back.

I watched the local weather this morning and the weekday guy was on. I wondered why he was working on the weekend. Duh, Jane, it's Friday.
Do you get mixed up about the days during a holiday?
@CrazyKittyLvr2 So messed up here. I had DH home since Wed. so it felt like Sat. for a few days!!!

I fell asleep with the TV on, so when I woke up to Roseanne I knew it was Saturday. Easy!

It's been lots worse since I retired....
Christmas didn't seem like Christmas this year because, well, we've lost family and friends this year who always joined us for Christmas and I used to cook all day for 10-plus people. This year, we just went to Applebee's for Christmas dinner.
Then Friday seemed like Monday, and I'd swear today is Sunday. It will be the same next week. Or worse.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I often do the same thing, except most of my usual program lineup is different these two weeks. It's really got me messed up.

I have always gone to the deli section of the market, and gotten a "holiday dinner" to go. Well, that was no longer an option, and I was left empty-handed. There was NOTHING open. (I didn't think the order applied to food service.)
What state are you in?
A few years ago, I stopped by my Ralphs (Kroger store) and was surprised by how many people were shopping ... AND the fact that all the senior employees were there! You'd think they'd have seniority and want to take off Christmas Day.
I asked one of the senior employees why and was it probably the overtime?
He said yes, it's the overtime. Depending on which union contract they were under, some employees were getting DOUBLE time ... and some were getting 2 1/2 times their regular rate!
Paying all those employees so much more ... I wonder if they even broke even with sales.
This year, they were closed.
