I want to clarify that my feelings are about Caitlyn, and do not reflect my views of the transgendered.

For starters I question whether she actually IS transgender. Secondly, I don't feel she is a nice person as a man, woman, or role model. My comments about her are about HER, and extend no wider than Caitlyn as an individual.

I so agree with you - I don't care if s/he changes into an oompa loompa, s/he's still a miserable person.

I really was excited for this show. Unfortunately, the  very annoying  supporting cast and boring storylines squelched the excitement.  I also think Caitlyn  seems so uncomfortable in her new skin and seems inauthentic on-air. In real life she may be different. In my life I have known two trans women and once they transitioned, they seemed so at ease with themselves.  I hope she is happy.

She appears to be a very awkward, unfeminine woman.  I think that's why it's hard for some to believe that her change is authentic.

That being said, I don't think anyone would go through the whole ordeal for money, fame, or attention.  I think her desire to live as a woman is genuine.

However; her show stinks.

I saw a portion of I Am Jazz and was beyond put off by Jazz & Co.'s furious denunciation of people who aren't on board with everything Jazz wants to do as "haters."  I will not look in on this show again.  In contrast, I believe that Caitlin Jenner has behaved with dignity and dressed with style and class.  I personally believe that people should be free to live their lives as they please.  At the same time, I respect those who for religious or other reasons don't approve of transgenderism.  Tolerance works both ways, or at least it should.

Best of luck to Caitlyn Jenner.  I'm sure I'll see Caitlyn in the Daily Mail in various fabulous outfits.  There's just such a story today, in fact.  I didn't read it, but I did see the picture.  I wouldn't put Caitlyn in the same category as the rest of the Kardashians.  Caitlyn was an Olympic champion, for one thing.  The rest of them basically pose on social media and at public functions for a living.

At least Jazz looks and acts like a female, Bruce doesn't. He just looks like a man in drag.

Thank the powers that be---I have never been so appalled at how that whole sordid mess about Bruce/Cait got so out of control and crammed down our gullets. All for the money. He and Kartrashians are made from the same cloth!!! And they will still make huge amounts of cash from it----

Re: I Am Cait no longer

[ Edited ]

I watched I Am Cait.  Her new friends that are also transgendered (some had surgery others did not) were very honest with her.  They did not automatically embrace her, far from it.  They wanted to make sure she was being honest with them and expected her to help their community and Cait has.  They also let her know there is a large population of transgendered who will never accept her because they feel her struggles are nothing compared to theirs as well as resenting Cait's wealth and celebrity.

Cait is put through the ringer on the show not only by her new friends but by hecklers of the LGBT community who reject her.  Cait's mission is to educate people on what transgendereds go through and to that end she is no different from Jazz except that Jazz is a cute kid.

I don't condemn Cait.  I refuse to ridicule or judge her.  She has been put through heck and back.  Her show was done very well and did not hold back in the myriad of emotions that the transgendered community feel on a daily basis.

Jazz is sweet and sincere.  Jenner needs counseling (IMO), something is not quite right.
