Definitely agree with Isaac regarding hosts that wear their jackets, etc. too tight. I have now heard Isaac tell not only Shawn, but other hosts as well on different occasions that they would look better and so would the clothing item he was presenting if they sized up. I am a medium and would never even dream of trying to wear a small or XS. I would look ridiculous, plus I am busty and wouldn't even fit into a smaller size. In fact sometimes I need to size UP to a large depending on the item's cut. Why would someone on national TV want to look as if she is squeezed into a jacket, just so she could say she is wearing an XS or an XXS? Here is a newsflash: if you can't button your jacket or blouse it is way too tight. If I were a designer presenting an item I certainly would want the item to be shown in the best way, not crammed onto someone's too large body. Now, I know that they have other sizes available on the set because Jayne, Leah, Carolyn, etc. certainly don't wear XXS - so they can have bigger sizes available for the models as well. OK, rant over.

Tight seems to be the trend. I see it a lot with women on TV. Sometimes I wonder how they breathe.

If you consistently wear a blazer unbuttoned then a smaller size is more flattering IMO.

I agree, too! And I do not get it, especially that look where a blazer or jacket is pulled tight in order to be able to button one middle button. IMO it's not a good look.
A woman we know always wears her clothes at least one size too small. She loves buying clothes, so it's not that she changed sizes and that's all she has. You know... to the point that when she wears a blouse with buttons, they gape apart and you can see her bra cups. She's very active in the community and well traveled, I don't get it.

I have noticed that also. Particularly with our local news women and weather forecasters. In my mind there is a difference between fitted and tight, I don't like the tight look at all not only for blazers but some of the skirts I see are really form fitted.

I agree too. But then again not to sound mean but Issac himself is not very fashionable. He always has on all black and those slipper type shoes. So I guess he (and myself) shouldn't really be judging fashion. (I admit Im a casual shirt and jeans kind of woman..lol).

The too small jacket look seems to be the style.
For men it's fashionable to have a gap with shirt showing below the bottom jacket button. Even the sleeves look too short.
As for hosts wearing clothing too small, sometimes it's because it is the only size available. Then there's those who wear jackets and cardigans they couldn't button under any circumstance.
Who can forget Patti Reilly's gap-osis?

I agree with Isaac too because Shawn looks ridiculous wearing a XXS especially after telling the viewing audience one day that she is a D cup. Maria, the plus sized model frequently wears blazers that are too small too but like another poster said, it is obvious she doesn't want to close them but thinks it looks better hanging open. Antonella is another who wears blazers too small and wears them open.

ITA with Isaac! I'm not surprised some of the buttons don't pop off, LOL! Mary Beth & Jill are about the only two hosts that wear clothes that fit, and they will usually tell you if you need to size up on an item as well!
I thought it was so funny, the other night, cannot remember who was hosting, Isaac got up and went over to bust and pulled the belt off his TSV lace dress, he said it was driving him crazy and he didn't like the belt, LOL!

Isaac has explained that he feel that his fashions and the women wearing them should be the focus, so he dresses himself in all black and nondescript clothes so that the attention will be on his designs and not on him.
