I'm not keen on animals being around a baby's face for many reasons.  I've known of a cat so jealous of a new baby that they had to get rid of it.  Why take a chance?  That was my first thought when I saw this picture.

*************   No, some people can see the common sense behind keeping an animal (any animal) out of the face of little babies.  Why take a chance with a tiny baby. Some of those "old wives" could tell you a story or two.
