@gidgetgh I'm at work, but it blared over our media. I was not really listening to it after the announcement said it was test, so I assume it was a let's make sure everything works deal.

I am on the west coast of Florida and getting anxiety over this. So tired of it. If it's not one thing it's another. Everyday is something else to stress over. Trying hard to "keep on trucking" in this world.

Well, I am more than a little worried here in Naples, Florida. Luckily our Condo is on the second floor but when Ian was here not long ago (we were not here then) it flooded all the Condos on the first floor and a Woman drowned here. There were gas lines, no power for 2+ weeks, and they are still redoing the lower floor condos here almost 2 years later! I was just at my hairdresser's and she has been here through a few of these so she had some great suggestions. Plan for the worst and hope for the best comes to my mind. Stay safe everyone!

@Zhills  do you live in a house or mobile? I think of you whenever we head up that way. Be careful. You have a little dog don't you? You are not far from us. We had all three big oaks cut down a few years ago. No worries about limbs or whole trees dropping on the house

I live in a 3br 2 bath mobile home set up like a house.  I have been in Zhills for 25 years and we have not had a "bad" hit!  A home 2 doors over lost a roof in1922 but it didn't touch either home next to it!  They are weird!  Never know what to expect!  Unless it shifts further to the West, I will stay home.  If it does, I'll go to my son's GF's home with him.  There is not a 'safe' area in this area, you just never know.  Hurricanes are strange...they are not 1 blanket "storm" but more like a lot of small tornados!  Damage is hit or miss, not steady!  Just watch the TV for any change in path.  Remember that the EYE is just an identification point, the right hand side is usually where the danger is.  That's us!  Not usually bad but it happens!

@Laura14 - I'm in Marietta. East Cobb.  Close to Roswell.

oh......is that why my alarm system went off a few minutes ago?  I read the message on it, but it was cryptic and I didn't understand it.

My Granddaughter is in Smyrna!  Stay safe!
