Since we just got done with Debby a couple of weeks ago, glad we are not in for this one. It rained for days along with winds so the rain was going sideways. Had enough rain for a bit.

Those in the path, get prepared and stay safe.

small world! Yeah being inland we don't have to worry about storm surge. I'm not in a flood zone thank goodness. We will likely get the high winds and torrential rains with thunderstorms

when we moved here in 2018, Hurricane Irma had come through and did a lot of damage in Lakeland. Our home that we bought had a new roof and new privacy fence as a result. Ppl here still talk about that storm

I was in Lakeland, in your area, during Irma!  We didn't have damage but 2 - 30+ ft trees were down that we could see and we had somebody's roof shingles in our yard.  Stay safe!

@JudyL I know CA is outrageous always. I don't know how you even survive out there. At least the Bay Area believes in publc transportation.

Seems like this storm is sneaking up on everyone and taking a similar path to the last one.  Be careful all of you in the path of it.  I'm in the northeast but I have a nephew in the panhandle of Florida.

@LindaSalFrancine took a different path - right up through Louisiana.  We wish Florida well, but breathing a sigh of relief not to have to go through this again just two weeks later.

@gidgetgh They are testing our Emergency Broadcast System here. Sounds like folks are getting a little worried about this one. I know you're further South than me, so you might get impacted more. Definitely looks like we're in for a show.

@Zhills  do you live in a house or mobile? I think of you whenever we head up that way. Be careful. You have a little dog don't you? You are not far from us. We had all three big oaks cut down a few years ago. No worries about limbs or whole trees dropping on the house

oh......is that why my alarm system went off a few minutes ago?  I read the message on it, but it was cryptic and I didn't understand it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@shoesnbags Oh yes I know, I have friends in Baton Rouge.  It was the "bend" in Florida path I was talking about.  Happy you will be able to dodge this one and hope the gulf coast will be done for this year anyway!
