It was really nice out today and I still have not done this.

I am going to boil the water right now!

Aren't Hummers great? Ours do not leave except for a couple weeks in May - I live in Sou Cal. Last year however, something happened. They just disappeared for a long time and not in May. Only a few returned - cannot figure it out. I did ask several people and the nurseries about it and no one has any answers. There still are only a handful outside - they use to literally swarm everywhere. Have three large feeders and for about a year now they have hardly been used. Have to empty them and clean the feeders and I refill them so I haven't given up. Was hoping they would show back up as the roses were magnificent this year - lilacs were not great but the roses were. Didn't help at all.

Enjoy your Hummers.

Would be great if everyone could name their location. I am in Atlantic Canada. I put the feeders out yesterday as the hummers usually arrive mid May. Are they late this year? I was thinking the awful winter and spring might have slowed them down. I record their arrival every year. LM

Love Hummingbirds!

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I've just seen the one so far. I really don't know how they survive when there are so few flowers blooming right now.
