How you do anything, is how you do everything

It doesn't matter how humble the job, if you do it well, it is a sign you care about details

I thought about President Carter and his Habitat for Humanity involvement. He gets right in the midst of the workers ,and pounds nails with the rest of them. I think it is what I like best about him

an interesting read

There is a lot of truth to this notion when I look at my behavior.

I agree and I've always gone the extra mile no matter what, however the more interested I am in the project, that mile gets longer and wider as I find myself emersed in it.  Woman LOL

Re: How you do anything, is how you do everything

That reminds me of a story I read - a man went to his new son-in-law, who was carpenter, and hired him to build his "dream home."

He told the SIL, "Spare no expense! This is the home my wife and I will live in the rest of our lives! I want it to be perfect."

The SIL decided to skimp on little things here and there, though, and pocket the difference. Instead of using quality materials, he found the cheapest he could find, and yet he charged his FIL full price.

From little things he went on to skimp on bigger things, and when the home was finished, it looked good enough but it wouldn't last very long with such shoddy workmanship.

When the home was finished, the SIL went to his FIL and told him his house was done, and he could move in.

FIL took the key, and handed it back to his SIL, and told him, "This is YOUR house! It's a present for your wedding and we wanted you to have the BEST."

SIL was appalled, but what could he say?

BTW, I never cared for Jimmy Carter as President however I think the world of him as a kind, caring man with the well-being of others truly in his heart.

I agree.  I can't do a ****** job if I don't want to do something.  It's not in my DNA.

Never had that happen before.  The system put the ******* instead of the word I wrote.  It wasn't even a naughty word.  😀
