jules, maybe your host thought that you'd be able to eat free on your Bday, so she was only planning on paying for her own meal? Just a thought. I think both restaurants you mentioned provide that perk, BUT, I think that you have to sign up ahead of time on a website.

Our Applebee's has "2 for 20." lunches everyday, of coarse that doesn't include a tip or alcohol. I'm with croemer, let's get Preds and a few others and we can all go.!! Whoopee!

There used to be an Applebee's in the Westlake shopping area years ago, but no more. Have you seen that area in recent years? You wouldn't recognize it if you haven't

LOL it is one of my 17 year olds favorite places to go, especially if HE has to pay. he and a buddy can go and eat for 20.00 total (shared appetizer and two entrees) plus tax plus tip......and they order waters to drink. LOL

I completely understand your disappointment but hope to manage to have a good day anyway. My birthday is next Tuesday and I have no one to take me out to lunch. Maybe it's just as well?
